Yellow Lady Slipper
(Cypripedium calceolus - var. pubescens )

Native perennial orchid, 12-24 inches tall with yellow flower whose lower petal is inflated to form a pouch 1 to 1 1/2 inches long. Infrequent or rare on rich wooded slopes, blooming from April until June.
