Crawdad Hunting With Grandfather's Naturalists

crayfishGrandfather's Naturalists are assisting Dr. John Cooper of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences by searching Grandfather's streams for crayfish. This represents the first comprehensive survey of the crayfish species in Grandfather's streams and offers the naturalists a great reason to wade in a cold stream on a hot day. Read more about it.

Top Shop Construction Update

July 24Rock masons are making progress in adding the Grandfather Mountain stone (recycled from the old Top Shop) to the exterior of the new building. The utilities have been buried and work will soon begin on the "bridge to the bridge." Read more about it.
