The Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation
launched its "Adopt an Animal"
campaign as an invitation to all animal
lovers to join with the Foundation in
caring for and making life fun for the
animals in the Mountain's wildlife habitats.

a variety of ways to thank adoptive families
for their tax deductible gifts to support
the Mountain's animals. Read

Fudge,
Coffee and "May at Grandfather Mountain"
DVD's Now Available From On-Line Store
In
response to requests from guests to have
fudge from Grandfather Mountain shipped
to their homes, new items have been added
to the online store available through
the Grandfather Mountain website. Along
with fudge, fans can order Grandfather
Mountain Blend coffee and the "May
at Grandfather Mountain" video on
DVD or Blu-ray.

Shop Construction Update
The
scaffolding is down and we can finally
see what the finished building will look
like! Although the exterior will not be
completely finished until spring, the
windows and doors are in, the building
is weather tight, and work can now progress
on completing the interior of the visitor
center.

Means Dollar Days at Grandfather Mountain
Each
person who lives, works or goes to college in
Mitchell, Avery, Watauga, Ashe, Alleghany, and
Wilkes counties (plus guests traveling in their
vehicle) are invited to visit during December
for $1 or a donation of canned goods. Read
