Top Shop Construction Update

top shopSnow and ice in the middle of October did not make work any easier at the Top Shop construction site on Grandfather Mountain. During the few sunny days they did have, the crew worked at break-neck pace installing the elevated walkway that connects the building with the path to the Mile High Swinging Bridge. "Secret Season" Pass Good November through April

Grandfather Mountain offers a "secret season" pass for the months of November through April that provides an affordable way to be spontaneous and head for the mountaintop on pretty winter days.

Experience the Mountain without the crush of summer's crowds. You can always buy lunch at Mildred’s Grill, but hopefully in 2010 you'll also be able to get a snack in the new Top Shop! Enjoy endless vistas and savor the sensation of having the top of the world all to yourself!
