Sunrise Shadows?
As tropical depression Ernesto moved away from the southeast on September 2, conditions in the wake of the storm helped to provide an interesting sunrise over North Carolina's Grandfather Mountain, where higher peaks above 5,900 feet created a long shadow in the morning sky. (Jim Morton photo)
