The vast majority of our events are included with your park admission fee, but some events which require a small fee to participate to ensure you receive expert guidance and knowledge from specially trained individuals. Bear Encounter: Habitat Animal Interpretive Talk

Encounters provide an opportunity to see the habitat animals up close and learn about the fauna native to the mountains of North Carolina. Animals will receive an enrichment — a special treat, new toy or unfamiliar scent to break up their routines and help keep them active and intellectually stimulated. Staff will be available to answer questions following the encounter. (10-15 minutes, meet at Bear Habitat)
